How Do You Balance Structure and Flexibility in Your Travel Itinerary?

Finding the right balance between having a plan and being flexible on your trip can make your travels more fun. Here’s how I do it:

1. Set Key Highlights

  • Must-see spots: Pick a few places you really want to go. This helps give your trip some direction.

2. Plan, But Don't Overplan

  • Loose schedule: Write out a simple plan for each day, but don’t fill it up too much. Leave time for spontaneous fun!

3. Include Free Days

  • Days with no plans: Make sure to add some days where you can explore or relax. You might discover some amazing places unexpectedly!

4. Have Backup Plans

  • Alternative ideas: Keep some other activities or restaurant options in mind just in case your original plans change.

With this approach, you can enjoy surprises while still visiting the important places you want to see!
