To use regular and irregular verbs in the future tense, remember these easy rules:

Regular Verbs

  1. How to Create Them: For verbs that end in -ar, -er, and -ir, you take the basic form of the verb (called the infinitive) and add the future tense endings:

    • Endings:
      • Yo: -é (I will)
      • Tú: -ás (You will)
      • Él/Ella/Usted: -á (He/She/You formal will)
      • Nosotros: -emos (We will)
      • Vosotros: -éis (You all will)
      • Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes: -án (They/You all formal will)
  2. Example:

    • Hablar (to speak) → Yo hablaré (I will speak)

Irregular Verbs
