How Does the Expansion of the Universe Affect Our Understanding of Space?

The universe is getting bigger, which makes it hard for us to understand space better. This creates some big challenges for scientists who study the universe, known as cosmologists. Let’s look at some important issues:

  2. Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB): The CMB is like a photo of the early universe. But as the universe expands, it stretches the CMB’s waves, making it hard for scientists to measure what the early universe was like. This information is important for proving the Big Bang Theory.

  3. Dark Energy and Matter: Dark energy is a mystery that makes the universe expand even faster. Understanding what dark energy is and how it works is really important for predicting what will happen to the universe in the future. However, its strange qualities make it hard for scientists to create clear models.

  4. Cosmological Models: We have ideas like the Lambda Cold Dark Matter (ΛCDM) model, which tries to explain how the universe expands. But these models have trouble explaining all the data we’ve collected, especially when it comes to how galaxies form and spread out.
