In What Ways Did the Industrial Revolution Pave the Path for Environmental Challenges?

The Industrial Revolution brought a lot of problems for the environment in several important ways:

  • Using Resources: With industries growing quickly, people used up a lot of natural resources like coal and wood.

  • Pollution: Factories let out smoke and waste, which polluted the air and water. This made the air we breathe and the water we drink much dirtier.

  • City Growth: Many people moved to cities to find work, which destroyed animal homes and plants. This caused a drop in the number of different species living in those areas.

These problems all came together to create environmental issues that we still face today.
