  1. Precipitation: This is when you mix two liquids to create a solid. For example, if you mix barium chloride with sulfuric acid, you get barium sulfate as a solid.

  2. Crystallization: This technique cools a solution that has a lot of dissolved material in it. When it cools, pure crystals form. A good example is when you make crystals of copper sulfate.

  3. Synthesis Reactions: This happens when you combine different elements. A simple case is when magnesium and oxygen come together to make magnesium oxide.
