   • The output (range) is the different temperatures we might have.

   • The output (range) is the total amount of money we have saved.

3. Travel Time: When you drive somewhere, the distance you travel depends on how fast you go. We can describe this as $D(s)$, where $s$ is the speed you are driving.

   • The input (domain) includes different speeds.
   • The output (range) is the distance you cover while driving.
