   • This helps prevent too many nutrients from washing away.

How to Use Fertilizers:

• Granular Fertilizer:

  • This type is spread directly on the soil.
  • You usually need about 0.5 to 2 pounds for every 100 square feet.

• Liquid Fertilizer:

  • This one is mixed with water.
  • For good results, you can use 1 to 2 cups of liquid fertilizer for every gallon of water.
