Goal of the Game: In volleyball, the main aim is to score points. You do this by hitting the ball over a net and landing it on the other team’s side. A match usually has sets, and the winner is the first team to win 5 sets.
How Scoring Works: Volleyball uses what's called rally scoring. This means a point is scored every time the ball is served, no matter which team served it. To win a set, a team needs to be the first to get to 25 points, but they must be ahead by at least 2 points.
