The Agricultural Revolution played a big role in helping technology grow. Here’s how it happened:

  1. More People: When people started producing extra food, the population grew a lot. It went from about 5 million in 10,000 BCE to around 250 million by the year 1 CE.

  2. Building Cities: As food became easier to get, more cities popped up. There were fewer than 10 cities in 3000 BCE, but by 1000 CE, there were over 1,000. This made it easier for people to share ideas and come up with new inventions.

  3. Different Jobs: Because farming became more efficient, many people could stop farming. About 85% of the population moved on to do different kinds of jobs. This led to progress in many areas.

  4. New Inventions: Important tools like the plow, which was created around 3000 BCE, and irrigation systems, which started around 6000 BCE, helped set up the groundwork for future technology.
