1. What They Are:

   • Land Ecosystems: These are ecosystems you find on land. Examples are forests, deserts, and grasslands.
   • Water Ecosystems: These include ecosystems in water. They can be freshwater, like rivers and lakes, or marine, like oceans and seas.

   • Land: Made up of soil, plants, animals, and the air around us.
   • Water: Contains water, water plants, fish, and tiny living things called microorganisms.

3. Fun Facts:

   • Land ecosystems take up about 30% of the Earth's surface.
   • Water ecosystems cover around 70%. Out of this, oceans hold 97% of all the water on Earth.
