Ribosomes play a big role in making proteins in our cells.

You can think of them as tiny factories that read instructions from a type of RNA called messenger RNA (or mRNA).

Here’s how ribosomes do their job:

1. Reading mRNA: First, ribosomes grab onto the mRNA strands.
2. Building Proteins: Then, they connect amino acids in the right order to make proteins.

For instance, when you eat, your body uses ribosomes to turn the amino acids from your food into proteins!
