What Strategies Can Enhance the Quality of Feedback during Playtesting?

To make playtesting feedback better, I’ve discovered some helpful strategies:

  1. Mix of Players: Invite a variety of players to test your game. Include beginners, serious gamers, and even folks who don’t usually play games. This will give you a wide range of opinions.

  2. Set Clear Goals: Give your testers specific things to do. This can help them focus and give you better feedback on what works and what doesn’t in the game.

  3. Ask for Honest Opinions: Make it easy for testers to share their true thoughts. You can use anonymous forms so they feel safe being honest.

  4. Watch and Learn: Pay attention to how players interact with your game. Sometimes, their body language can show if they’re frustrated or having fun, even if they don’t say anything.

  5. Keep Testing: Don’t stop at just one round of testing! Keep checking back on your game and see how changes affect players over time.

These tips have really helped me improve my games!
