Why Are Rolling Friction and Sliding Friction Important Concepts in Mechanics?

Rolling friction and sliding friction are really cool ideas that help us understand how things move, following Newton's Laws.

  1. Difference in Forces:

    • Sliding Friction happens when two surfaces touch, and one is sliding over the other. This type of friction is usually stronger because more of the surfaces are touching, creating more resistance.
